  • 1/2 cup butter, softened (1 stick)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup champagne, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 or 5 drops of red food color

Step by Step – Girl Baby Shower Cakes 

For the Pink Champagne Cake

Step One: Preheat Your Oven and Prepare the Cake Pans

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease all three of the cake pans with cooking spray.

Step Two: Make Cake Batter

In a large mixing bowl, mix the champagne and cake mix. Then, using an electric mixer beat in the vegetable oil, egg whites, and food coloring into the cake mix. Beat the mixture on medium speed for two minutes to thoroughly mix the batter.

Step Three: Bake the Cake

Pour the cake batter carefully into your cake pans that are greased. Bake the cakes for 29-34 minutes, until a toothpick you insert comes out clean. Allow the Pink Champagne Cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack.

In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together the Champagne, powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and food dye. Beat the Champagne frosting until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency.

Step Five: Decorate the Cake

Spread over a layer of frosting between the cake layers. Then, cover the sides and top of the pink Champagne cake with the rest of the frosting. Cover with sprinkles and edible pearls.

Simple Baby Shower Cakes for Girl

If you’re looking to make a relatively simple girl baby shower cake, this is the recipe for you. The ingredients you’ll need are:

for the cake:

  • 13oz of cake flour
  • 12oz of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 5oz of egg whites
  • 4oz of vegetable oil
  • 10oz of buttermilk
  • 6oz of butter
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 2 drops of pink food coloring

for the whipped cream frosting:

  • 24oz of heavy whipping cream
  • 4oz of powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of powdered gelatin
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of fresh raspberries

Now all you need to do is:

  1. Preheat your oven to 340F and prepare two cake pans with cooking spray.
  2. Add the following ingredients to a bowl: baking soda, baking powder, salt, sugar, and flour. Mix and leave to one side.
  3. In a second bowl, add around 1/2 cup of buttermilk and oil. Mix and set aside. In a third bowl, add the remaining buttermilk, egg whites, food coloring, and vanilla extracts. Mix well.
  4. Add the butter to the first bowl of dry ingredients and mix for around 30 seconds. Then add bowl two and mix for around 2 minutes. Finally, add in bowl 3, gradually, and scrape down the sides of the bowl as you go.

  6. To make your frosting, first, add the gelatin and water to a bowl and leave for a few minutes. Add the bowl to the microwave for 5 seconds, and keep doing so until completely melted. Add 1 teaspoon of heavy cream to the bowl and leave to one side.
  7. In a chilled mixing bowl, add the heavy cream and whip until you have soft peaks. At this point, you can gradually add the powdered sugar and extract.
  8. Keep mixing until you form stiff peaks and then fill, and frost the top of your cake. Garnish with raspberries.

  • 1 cup + 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 9 tablespoons of butter

for the buttercream:

  • 20oz of melted white chocolate
  • 10-12 large egg whites
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups of butter
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • pink food coloring

Now all you need to do is:

  1. Grease 4 cake pans and line them with parchment paper. You’ll also need to preheat your oven to 300F.
  2. Grab a bowl and add the following ingredients: egg whites, vanilla, and 1/4 cup of milk. Combine and set aside. In a separate bowl, add the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Mix well.
  3. Add the butter and remaining milk to the dry ingredients and beat for 1-2 minutes. Now gradually add the egg white mixture, mixing and scraping the sides of the bowl as you go.
  4. Carefully pour in the melted chocolate and fold in well. Pour your batter into your prepared cake pans and bake in the center of your oven for around 35-40 minutes. Leave to cool before frosting.
  5. To make the buttercream, add the sugar and egg whites to a pan and heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and leave to cool.
  6. Add the egg whites to a mixing bowl and mix until you have stiff peaks. Now you can add the butter, slowly. Mix until completely combined. Now gradually pour in the melted white chocolate, until you have a creamy frosting. Add pink food coloring, as desired.
  7. Fill and frost the top of your cakes with the frosting. Enjoy!

To make a butterfly-shaped cake for a baby shower, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • ingredients on instructions for boxed cake mix
  • tray, covered with foil

for decorating:

  • 1 candy stick
  • gel food coloring
  • decorating gel
  • jelly beans
  • colored sugars

Now all you need to do is:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease two cake pans. Make your cake by following the instructions on your cake mix. Leave to cool before the next step.
  2. Ensure the cake layers are flat, so cut off the top if needed. Then cut the cake in half, diagonally. Then cut each half into 1/3 and 2/3 pieces. Make a butterfly shape from these pieces, and pull them apart to create the wings.
