One essential piece of equipment that you will need for virtually all of these items is a muffin or cupcake pan. But, we’ll get to that later.

What you can make inside of the oven with eggs

One of the simplest things to make with an egg inside the oven is a baked egg. Think of these as a mix between a boiled and poached egg. This technique is a lot less work compared to frying eggs and allows you to continue prepping other breakfast items instead.

Then, you can also make egg muffins. While these aren’t technically baked eggs, they are made of mainly eggs that need to be baked.

You can also make a type of baked egg dish inside a pie dish, bread pan, or casserole dish. Almost like a frittata or baked omelet.  And finally, you can even make scrambled eggs inside of the oven.

5 Ways On How To Get Baked Egg Off A Muffin Pan

Now, unfortunately, with all of the delicious items above, there is a big possibility of the eggs sticking to your muffin pans. That’s just part of the process. And sometimes, they can stick onto the pans so much that they are nearly impossible to remove!

So, we have compiled a list of the best ways how to get baked egg off a muffin pan. You can experiment with the different techniques until you find one that works best for your situation. Ready to get started?

1. Soak your pan in water

This age-old technique is one we still use today. Why? Because it works so well! Anytime you have something that doesn’t want to easily come off, simply allow it to soak in some water.

Fill your sink with water, add a few drops of dishwashing soap, and allow the pan to soak overnight. Sometimes you get lucky and the egg will soften in a couple of minutes.

Then, you can simply wipe away the egg or gently scrub it with a sponge.

2. Cook it with baking soda

When looking at how to get baked egg off a muffin pan, baking soda is a fantastic ingredient to use! You can have a look here at other useful ways you can use it to help clean your home.

Heat your oven to 350ºF (180ºC). Sprinkle baking soda over your entire pan and pour water into each muffin cup. Then, bake the pan for roughly 25 minutes. Carefully remove the pan and give it a good scrub to more easily remove the eggs.

3. Elbow grease

Other, people search and search for the best ways how to get baked egg off a muffin pan. But sometimes, all you need is a little bit of elbow grease. You can remove most egg messes with some dishwashing soap and a scrubber. Just don’t use these on non-stick pans – they will completely scrub away the coating.

Also, it helps if you use hot water! It will soften the burnt egg immediately, making it easier to remove.

4. Salt scrub

Salt is an easy and useful ingredient that will help you remove a ton of burnt food from your pots and pans. Because it is textured, it will help act as an abrasive pad. You can use a scrubber or sponge to help remove the mess, however, for most, it shouldn’t need much.

You will have to use quite a bit of salt, especially if you are adding a bit of hot water to also help soften the egg. Salt dissolves in water. So, we usually only wet the surface with hot water, then sprinkle it with a generous amount of salt.

5. Vinegar and hot water soak

When looking at how to get baked egg off a muffin pan, many people often skip over this technique. However, it is honestly one of our favorites! Vinegar is pretty much like baking soda, but you are more likely to have it on hand. Any type of vinegar will work. The best would be white wine vinegar or white spirit vinegar.

Simply fill your sink with hot water, add about one to two cups of vinegar, and allow your pan to soak for 20 minutes. There’s no need to soak it overnight – the vinegar works that well!

Then, wipe away the egg and give the pan a good wash.

Best Non-Stick Muffin Pan For Eggs

For non-stick muffin pans, especially when making eggs, there are two routes you can go. You can either buy a silicone muffin pan or a non-stick-coated muffin pan. Both of these materials have their own set of pros and cons.

Silicone muffin pans are completely non-stick and you can easily remove the item from the pan. Even when food burns onto the surface, it can be easily peeled off. But, these pans have no structure and are often difficult to find.

Non-stick muffin pans have a solid structure, evenly distribute the heat, and are easy to clean. But, the non-stick coating can scrub off if it isn’t properly cleaned and maintained, and these pans are often more expensive.

In our opinion, rather try to avoid the baked eggs sticking in the first place. You can use muffin liners, coat the cup with non-stick cooking spray, or brush it with melted butter.
