Why not try this recipe if you want to make a large batch of buttercream frosting? It makes around 10 cups of frosting. For this recipe you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 3 cups of softened butter
  • 12 cups of confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 4 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 4-6 tablespoons of milk
  • pinch of salt

Now all you need to do is:

Add the butter to a stand mixer and beat for around 6-8 minutes. Once smooth and pale in color, gradually add the confectioners’ sugar; scraping the sides of the bowl as you go.

Step 2: Mix 

Once combined, add the milk, salt, and vanilla extract and mix for 3-5 minutes. Once fluffy, your frosting is ready to use!
