First and foremost, take your 9x9-inch square baking pan. Then, line it with parchment paper. After that, set it aside.
Afterward, process and pulse your flour, powdered sugar, and salt inside your food processor. Then, add your butter and process until the texture is like cornmeal.

While waiting for your crust, preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, bake your crust for about 20 to 25 minutes. Likewise, you can bake until it becomes golden. In addition to that, allow your crust to cool.
Then, melt your butter inside a large cooking pan over medium-low heat. Afterward, add your prepped apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. After that, stir to coat your apples. Also, cook your apples inside the large pan for about fifteen minutes. Likewise, you can do so until they become soft.
