  • Ball tool
  • Pastry brush

Ingredients
  

  • Store-bought fondant (you can use homemade)
  • Pink food coloring (or any color that you desire)
  • Cornstarch for dusting
  • Water for sprinkling

Instructions 

  • Before anything else, cut a small portion of your colored fondant. Then, make sure to roll it out using your rolling pin. Doing this will create a thin layer.
  • After that, utilize your rose cutter. Then, cut two pieces. Next, dip your ball tool in cornstarch. After that, press the outer part of the petal to thin out its edges. Also, repeat the steps until all the petals thin out.
    Cornstarch for dusting
  • Afterward, take a small pastry brush and wet it. Then, draw a line across the center of one of your rose petals. After that, fold it in half along the line. Also, brush more water across the folded fondant on the same line. Then, make sure to roll your fondant from the right to the left to create a rosebud.
    Water for sprinkling
  • In preventing the rosebud from sticking with the other petals, use cornstarch. Next, fold your other pieces of fondant the same way. Then, brush it with some water along the bottom line. After that, wrap it around your rosebud. While wrapping your petals around the rosebud, apply a bit of pressure to secure the petals together. Once satisfied with your rose fondant, place them on the plate facing upwards.
