Before you begin, it’s important to heat treat your flour to avoid becoming potentially ill from raw flour. To do this, spread your flour onto a baking sheet and place it into an oven for around 5 minutes at 350F. Remove from oven and leave to cool.
Grab a bowl and add the following ingredients: granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and unsalted butter (make sure it is at room temperature). Using a stand mixer, beat for a few minutes until the mixture becomes fluffy. Once fluffy, add your vanilla and evenly distribute.
Add the salt to the flour and mix until evenly distributed.
Change the stand mixer to a low setting and gradually add nutmeg (optional), and treated flour. Keep mixing until well combined, then slowly add the milk until you have a dough-like consistency. You can then fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Using around 1/2 tablespoon of mixture, make balls with your hands (or you can use a cookie dough scoop if you’d prefer) and transfer the balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Now place the balls into your fridge and leave for around 15 minutes to allow them to firm up. You should have around 15 balls. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, these cookie dough bites should be kept in the refrigerator. They should be stored in an airtight container. When stored this way, they’ll last up to 5 days.
