How to Make Homemade Cool Whip

Instructions 

  • Grab a saucepan and add both the gelatin and water. Leave for a few minutes and then heat on a medium heat until the two ingredients are completely combined. Remove from heat and leave to cool slightly.
  • In a separate bowl, add the cream and beat for a few minutes until soft peaks start to form. At this point gradually add the confectioners' sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • Finally, add the gelatin from the saucepan and mix until you have stiffer peaks. Use as needed.
