Easy Cake Pop Recipe

Instructions 

  • Gather the ingredients you need and grease a baking pan. You'll also need to preheat your oven to 350F.
  • Grab a bowl and add the following dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Mix well and leave to one side.
  • In a separate bowl, add the sugar and butter and cream for around 2 minutes. Pour in the vanilla and the egg and mix well; scraping the sides of the bowl as you go.
  • Add the milk, as well as your bowl of dry ingredients and whisk until you have a smooth batter. Add batter to your prepared baking pan.
  • Place in the center of your oven and bake for around 32-36 minutes. Remove from oven and leave to cool.
  • For the frosting, add the butter to a stand mixer and beat for a few minutes. Then gradually add the milk, sugar and vanilla extract. Mix well for a few minutes until you have a smooth frosting. Crumble your cake and add to the frosting. Mix on low until fully combined.
  • Line a baking sheet and make balls of cake; around one tablespoon of cake for each ball. Place on your baking sheet and chill for at least an hour or so.
  • Melt your candy melts using a microwave and only work on a few balls at a time; keep the rest in the fridge. Add a lollipop stick into the balls and dip your ball into the candy melts; ensuring complete coverage.
  • Add rainbow sprinkles to the top before the coating hardens. Leave to set for around an hour. Serve and enjoy!
