Easy Jello  Poke Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

01 1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake 

02 1 cup of boiling water   

03  1 pkg. (3 oz.) flavored jello (we used strawberry!)

04 1/2 cup of cold water     

05     1 tub (8 oz.) whippe topping

PREPARE THE CAKE

Prepare the cake batter according to the directions on the package. Bake it using a 13 by 9-inch pan and let it cool for 15 minutes.

POKE THE CAKE

Poke the sponge with a fork every ½ inch. These little holes will let the gelatin seep through to color and flavor our cake.

DISOLVE THE GELATIN

Prepare the powdered gelatin with 1 cup of boiling water. Once it is dissolved, add the ½ cup of cold water.

POUR THE GELATIN

Pour the gelatin over the sponge, making sure to cover all the holes you have made.

REFRIGERATE

Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Frost with your favorite whipped topping.
