1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cups of powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp of salt, 8 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • Next, add your egg. After that, pulse until you have a soft and crumbly dough. Afterward, scoop your dough into your prepared 9x9-inch baking pan. Then, press the dough evenly, enough to cover the bottom of your pan. Also, poke your dough over using a fork. After that, freeze for about thirty minutes.
    One pc of egg
  • While waiting for your crust, preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, bake your crust for about 20 to 25 minutes. Likewise, you can bake until it becomes golden. In addition to that, allow your crust to cool.
  • Then, melt your butter inside a large cooking pan over medium-low heat. Afterward, add your prepped apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. After that, stir to coat your apples. Also, cook your apples inside the large pan for about fifteen minutes. Likewise, you can do so until they become soft.

  • Next, spoon out your apples. Then, place them into your baked crust. Also, scrape the cooking pan to get all the caramelized juices.
  • Afterward, add your flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and butter inside the food processor for the topping. Then, pulse until you observe that the texture will be like coarse sand. In addition to that, scatter the crumb on top of your apples.
