Preheat the oven and next grease the loaf pan.Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit then grease your 9x5-inch loaf pan with vegetable oil.

Chop up the walnuts.Roughly chop up a half cup of walnuts and then finely chop up two tablespoons of walnuts, set aside.

Whisk together the dry ingredients.In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, roughly chopped walnuts, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

Fold in mashed bananas and strawberries.Using a rubber spatula, carefully fold in the mashed bananas and diced strawberries into the wet ingredients.

Combine the wet ingredients and dry ingredients.Carefully fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients using a rubber spatula, being careful to not overmix.
Bake the strawberry banana bread. Carefully pour the banana bread batter into the loaf pan, it is okay if there are some lumps. Sprinkle the top of the batter with the finely chopped walnuts then bake for one hour to one hour and 10 minutes. Use a toothpick to check for doneness then let the strawberry banana bread cool on a wire rack until completely cool.
Notes
Be sure to use very ripe bananas in the recipe, as this will work best for giving it a moist, tender crumb. It is best to use fresh strawberries, but if need be, you can also use frozen strawberries as well.Store the strawberry banana bread at room temperature in an airtight container for up to three days. In addition, you can also store the bread in the fridge for up to seven days in an airtight container.
