  • Gather all of the ingredients you need for this recipe and preheat your oven to 350F. You'll also need to line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Add the following ingredients to a bowl: flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix well and set aside.
  • Add the bananas to a bowl and using a fork, mash them considerably. Once mashed, add the sugar and mix well until you have a glossy texture.
  • Next, you'll need to add the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract to your bananas; mixing as you go. Once combined, you can add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Now fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter. It's important not to over-mix at this stage.
  • Pour batter into your prepared pan and level out. You can choose to add additional chocolate chips on top if desired. Place in the center of your preheated oven for 45-50 minutes. A toothpick in the center should come out with a few crumbs when ready.
  • Leave for around 10 minutes in the loaf pan, then turn onto a cooling rack and leave to cool completely before serving. Slice, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

For this recipe use eggs and butter at room temperature.
