Hard Candy Recipe With Butter and Jello

Ingredients
  

Foe the Butterscotch Hard Candy

  • 1 cup cubed butter plus 1 teaspoon
  • 2 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp rum extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt

For the Hard Candy with Cannabutter

  • 3 oz flavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cannabutter plus one tablespoon

Instructions 

For the Butterscotch Hard Candy

  • Grease a baking pan with around a teaspoon of butter and set aside.
  • Grab a saucepan and add the following ingredients: corn syrup, sugar and water. Heat on a medium heat, covered, and allow to come to a boil.
  • Once boiling, remove the lid and leave uncovered. Use a candy thermometer to check the temperature and wait until the temperature reaches 270F.
  • Add the cubes of butter, salt and honey and mix throughout until the temperature reaches 300F. Immediately remove from heat and stir in the extract.
  • Pour the mixture into your greased pan and leave to set for a few minutes and then cut into squares. Leave to cool completely before serving. Enjoy!

For the Hard Candy With Cannabutter

  • Grab a saucepan and add the following ingredients: sugar, corn syrup and 1/4 cup of cannabutter. Heat over a low heat and mix until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Grease your pan or molds with your tablespoon of butter to prepare for the mixture.
  • Keep heating the mixture until it begins to boil. Use a candy thermometer to check when the mixture reaches 275F and then add the gelatin, stirring throughout.
  • Once dissolved, add to your prepared pan or molds and allow the mixture to cool at room temperature.
  • Remove from molds and lightly dust with confectioners' sugar. Serve and enjoy!
