For the Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Gather the ingredients you need for this recipe and preheat your oven to 375F. You'll also need to line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Grab a bowl and add the following ingredients: flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix and leave to one side.
  • In a separate bowl, add the butter, white sugar and brown sugar. Cream for a few minutes and then add in the eggs and vanilla. Mix well until you have a fluffy batter.
  • Add your bowl of dry ingredients and fold the chocolate chips into the batter evenly.
  • Drop around two tablespoons of dough onto your baking sheet for each cookie. Be sure to leave ample space between the cookies to allow them to spread.
  • Place in the center of your preheated oven and bake for around 8-10 minutes. Leave to cool before eating. Serve and enjoy!

For the Sugar Cookies

  • Gather all of the ingredients you need and preheat your oven to 350F. You'll also need to line a baking sheet.
  • Grab a bowl and add the following ingredients: butter and sugar. Cream for at least a few minutes, and then add your vanilla extract, almond extract and egg. Beat into your mixture.
  • In another bowl, add the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well and then gradually add to your bowl of wet ingredients.
  • Lightly flour a work surface and roll your dough to around 1/4 inch thick and cut into the shapes of your choosing.
  • Place in the center of your preheated oven for around 6-8 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and leave to cool before serving. Serve and enjoy!
