    Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Pudding Recipe

    • Prepare - Gather all of the ingredients you need and grease a baking pan and preheat your oven to 350F.
    • Make the Pudding - Add the cornstarch and around 1/4 cup of milk to a saucepan. Once smooth, add the heavy cream, salt, sugar and remainder of the milk. Whisk the mixture continuously over a low to medium heat. Once smooth, leave for a few minutes until it begins to thicken. At this point, add the butter and vanilla extract. Once melted and smooth, add the pudding to the bottom of the pan.
    • Make the Cake - Add the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt to a bowl. In another bowl, add the eggs, vanilla extract and milk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix well. Once mixed, add the melted butter. Mix until just combined. Pour the batter into the pan, on top of the pudding mixture. It doesn’t matter if the cake batter and pudding mixture mix, just try to pour evenly.
    • Bake the Cake - Place in the center of your preheated oven for around 35-40 minutes. Once baked, remove from oven and leave to cool slightly. Serve warm with cream and fruit. Enjoy!

    • Prepare - Gather all of the ingredients you need and preheat your oven to 325F and grease and flour two cake pans.
    • Make the Batter - Grab a bowl and add the flour, salt, baking powder, and vanilla pudding. Mix well and leave to one side. In a separate bowl, mix the creamer, milk, vanilla extract, and oil. Mix well and leave to one side. In a third bowl, mix the butter until smooth. Next, add the sugar gradually until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well. Add the other two mixtures to the butter mixture, alternatively. Keep doing this until all three bowls are combined into one.
    • Bake the Cakes - Pour the batter into the prepared pans from earlier. Be sure it’s spread evenly between the two. Place in the center of your preheated oven for around 50-60 minutes. If you want to check it’s ready, place a toothpick into the center. It should come out almost clean when the cake is baked. Remove from oven and leave to cool. Once cool, add the topping of your choice; buttercream or frosting works great. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
