Add the following ingredients to a bowl: flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, add the following ingredients: egg, milk, and melted butter. Mix well, and then add the first bowl of dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until a few lumps remain and leave to rest for around 15 minutes.
Add a small amount of butter or oil to grease your pan and wait until the temperature reaches 375F. Once hot, pour around 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake; ensuring there's enough space for them to cook/
Once the inside of the pancakes start to bubble and the edges begin to brown, you can flip them over and cook for a further few minutes. Repeat until all batter has been used.
