  • Afterward, make sure to blend the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl at medium speed. With this, ensure to scrape your mixing bowl from time to time till you can achieve a creamy consistency. Next, resume beating. Then, be sure to add a single egg at a time; do this till well combined.
    2 cups of sugar, 1 cup of softened butter, 4 pcs eggs
  • Next, beat at low speed, gradually adding flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt alternately with buttermilk and scraping the bowl from time to time until well mixed. Afterward, make sure to add lemon zest and one tablespoon of lemon juice. Remember, continue beating until incorporated.

With this, all you necessarily have to do is insert a toothpick in the cake's middle. And you will know that it is okay if it comes out clean.
