Notes

This cookie dough filled Easter eggs are a great treat that your friends and family will love. They are simple to make and you can even make them ahead of time, storing them in the fridge or freezer.
It is important to allow the cookie dough to freeze for an hour before dipping it in the chocolate. This will allow it to hold its egg shape and prevent it from falling apart when dipping it in the chocolate.
When dipping the cookie dough eggs into the chocolate, there are a few different methods you can use. One popular method is to use a spoon to place the egg in the chocolate and then use the spoon to cover the egg with chocolate until it is fully covered. You can also place a wooden skewer into the cookie dough egg and dip it into the chocolate, turning until it is fully coated.
For creating a drizzle, it is easiest to use a fork and shake it back and forth to decorate. If your white chocolate begins to harden while you are working with it, place it in the microwave in fifteen-second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is smooth and melted.
Be sure to use parchment paper or wax paper when placing the cookie dough eggs on the tray. If you do not use wax or parchment paper, the cookie and white chocolate will stick to the baking tray.
If you don’t want to use white chocolate, you can use milk or dark chocolate. You can even drizzle colored white chocolate and add sprinkles to give the milk or dark chocolate a pop of color.
When not being served, this cookie dough Easter eggs should be kept in the fridge in an airtight container. They can last in the fridge for up to five days and the freezer for up to three months.
This cookie dough recipe is great because not only does it taste delicious, but it doesn’t contain any eggs or flour. Since this recipe is egg and flour-free, you don’t have to worry about the risks of salmonella or E. Coli.
