Notes

When making this recipe, it is very important to let your cream cheese reach room temperature before using it. Cream cheese that is cold will likely begin to curdle when you mix it with the egg and sugar. This will not only affect the taste but also the consistency of the cake, making it undesirable.
Allow the cream cheese to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to one hour before making this cake. In addition, the eggs should also sit at room temperature as well. This will help ensure the cream cheese has a smooth and creamy texture in the cake.
Since this cake contains cream cheese, it should be kept in the fridge in an airtight container. It can last for 5-7 days when properly stored. Allow the cake to reach room temperature before serving.
This cake can also be frozen as well. Carefully wrap the cake in plastic wrap then aluminum foil and freeze it for 3-6 months. Allow the cake to thaw overnight in the fridge or on the counter for two hours before serving.
It is easiest to freeze this cake unfrosted, but you can also freeze it frosted as well. Set the cake in the freezer for one hour uncovered to let the frosting freeze. Then wrap the cake in plastic wrap and then aluminum foil, then return it to the freezer.
