Hot Buttered Rum Cocoa

You will need

• 1 cup whole milk
• 2 tbsp Dutch process cocoa
• 1 tbsp brown sugar
• 1 tbsp salted butter
• 1/4 tsp cinnamon
• Pinch nutmeg

Make it

1. Whisk the cocoa, sugar and spices into the cold milk, then heat to steaming.
2. Take it off the heat and whisk in the butter until it disappears completely.
3. The butter is what makes this taste like the drink rather than an imitation of it.
4. Top with whipped cream and grated nutmeg.
