Some nights you want dessert, but you do not want to bake. You want something warm in a mug, or something cold with a straw, that tastes like the cake you are not making.
That is what The Dessert Bar is for. It is a free drink generator here on Cake Decorist with 62 dessert drinks, hot and iced, built around the flavors bakers already love: brownie batter, cinnamon roll, key lime pie, gingerbread, salted caramel. Pick a season and a craving, and it pours one for you.
How it works
- Pick a season. Spring, summer, fall, winter or Christmas. The menu changes to match.
- Pick a craving. Chocolate, caramel, cake and vanilla, fruity, nutty, or spiced.
- Hot or iced. Or leave it open and let it decide.
- Or hit Surprise me and skip the decisions entirely.
Every drink comes with a short ingredient list and four steps. Nothing needs an espresso machine, and most of them use what is already in your pantry.
The grown-up switch
There is a toggle at the top that says Make it grown-up. Flip it and every drink picks up a pour that actually belongs in it, along with a line on why that bottle and not another one. Dark rum in the Hot Buttered Rum Cocoa. Amaretto in the Almond Joy Shake. Flip it back off and everything goes right back to family friendly.
Where to start this fall
- Pumpkin Spice Steamer. No coffee, no line, and it tastes better than the one you would pay for.
- Apple Pie Steamer. Warm, cinnamon heavy, and done in about five minutes.
- Chai Snickerdoodle Latte. Cinnamon sugar on the rim does most of the work.
- Caramel Apple Cider Float. For the warm October afternoons that do not feel like fall yet.
- Pecan Pie Latte. Thanksgiving dessert in a mug.
Save these for Christmas
- Candy Cane White Hot Chocolate. Pale pink, crushed candy cane rim.
- Gingerbread Cocoa. Molasses and ginger in hot chocolate. It works.
- Peppermint Mocha Cocoa. The coffee shop classic, made at home.
- Eggnog Latte. The easiest one on the whole menu.
For chocolate people
- Brownie Batter Cocoa. Thick enough to coat a spoon. Start here.
- S’mores Hot Chocolate. Toasted marshmallow on top, graham on the rim.
- Death by Chocolate Shake. Three kinds of chocolate and no restraint.
And when it is hot out
- Key Lime Pie Cooler. Tart, creamy, graham cracker rim.
- Strawberry Shortcake Shake. Summer dessert, blended.
- Birthday Cake Milkshake. Sprinkles are required.
- Lemon Meringue Cooler. Bright and not too sweet.

There are 62 drinks in there, and each one has its own page with the full recipe and a few Cake Decorist bakes that go with it.
