What is Chickpea Flour?

First and foremost, chickpea flour has fewer carbohydrates than white flour. For this reason, it has fewer effects on your blood sugar. Not only that, but also it can improve fat blood levels. The main reason is that it is rich in fiber and it contains resistant starch.

Moreover, chickpeas provide almost all essential amino acids, making them an ideal protein source. In addition, chickpeas contain antioxidants called polyphenols. Antioxidants help fight free radicals. Therefore, using chickpea flour can reduce the harmful acrylamide in processed foods.

Additionally, you can use chickpea flour for making flatbreads and batter-based foods like pancakes and waffles. It is also a great ingredient to combine with other gluten-free flour for making quickbreads, cookies, and muffins.
